The AbilityOne® Program is the largest source of employment for people who are blind or have other significant disabilities in the United States. More than 600 nonprofit organizations employ these individuals and provide quality products and services to the Federal government at a fair market price. More than 40,000 people with disabilities are employed through AbilityOne contracts! AbilityOne is administered by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled, an independent Federal agency. The Committee coordinates the AbilityOne Program effort through the National Industries of the Blind (NIB) and SourceAmerica - Creating Employment Opportunities for People with Significant Disabilities.
The purchase of AbilityOne products and services by Federal customers helps battle the chronic 70 percent unemployment or underemployment rate faced by this untapped labor resource. LAHH is currently recruiting for the following positions for CMS.
